IT, OT and cloud consulting for energy and power
The situation
Power generation runs on two networks that grew up apart. The plant side was built for availability: controllers, HMIs and historians that have to run for years without a reboot, often installed by the equipment vendor along with a remote-access box nobody in IT has seen. The business side was built for people: email, ERP, Microsoft 365, and now copilots and AI agents. The two meet wherever someone once needed plant data in a spreadsheet, and those meeting points are rarely designed.
The pressure comes from both directions. Leadership wants plant data in dashboards and forecasts. Insurers, regulators and customers want evidence that the control systems are protected. Sites are remote, staff are thin, and a mistake doesn't cost a file. It trips a unit offline.
What we do here
We map every path between IT and OT, then design a boundary that lets telemetry out and keeps writes from coming back in: read-allow, write-deny on live plants. Identity gets standardized across sites, so one directory controls who reaches what, vendors included. Cloud work happens around the plant, not inside it. Reporting, historian data, backups and collaboration move to Azure while the control systems stay local and isolated. When AI tools arrive, they get treated like any other new account with credentials.
Our founder did this work from the inside, leading infrastructure for a distributed power-generation operator, and we bring the same discipline to every client.
Where to start
Most energy clients start with a fixed-price discovery, sized to the job. For a generation fleet, that means walking the paths between each plant and the business network, reviewing who and what has access, and checking where vendor remote access really lands. You get a written read-out: what we found, what we'd fix first, what it costs, and what we'd leave alone because the plant depends on it. Nothing moves to a build until you approve it in writing. Every engagement is led by a senior architect, with specialists from our bench brought in when the work calls for them.

Standardizing Cloud Infrastructure Across Five Power-Generation Facilities
Infrastructure had grown site by site across five plants, complicating support, identity and planning. Azure and hybrid design, AD and Entra ID alignment, and repeatable infrastructure patterns for every facility. One standardized cloud and identity foundation across five facilities, without disrupting plant operations.
